Turnovers! Looks to me like Forest is in the doghouse.
Kerns was very clearly upset with the turnover numbers on the post-game radio show. Forrest, however, only had 3 TOs but he was only 2 of 8 from the floor. 25% shooting will get you on the bench with the options Kerns has now!

Almonacy is the real deal. Feel grest when he has the ball. When it gets into the hands a couple of our bigs, not so much. Still greatly improved team it appears. Going to be fun to watch.
Hard to believe he only played d-2 before coming to Boone.

Almonacy is a beast. Wondering why Justin Forrest was on the bench for so long at the end.
Same reason he didn’t start some games late last season is my guess. He seems to want to take matters into his own hands and tries to do too much sometimes, therefore resulting in early shots and turnovers. Sometimes we’re better without him on the court. Almost all of the bad habits acquired under the last coaching regime have disappeared, but they occasionally show up from a couple of the older guys.

Stony Brook is D-I (America East) and the guy started there for two years. I can't fathom why he transferred down to D-II.

Team looked good. Had some real chances to take this one at the end. We would have nicked it if we did, that Turner is a beast.

Turnovers were the main reason for the L. But it was the whole team. That being said, Forest had 3 TOs and for the minutes played and number of touches 3 is an enormous #. Couple that with how bad his shot looked, he needs to sit. That being said, he does have a certain ability to hit clutch shots when needed and probably should have been on the floor at the end of regulation and at the end of the game.

Bowling Green played really well. Some clutch shots there at the end. I was really impressive with our defensive effort as well.

Almonacy played very well. Great shot selection and obviously nailed them when he had his chance.

Overall our catch and shoot 3-pt% was very good, it'll be interesting to see if that keeps up heading into more tough matchups.

We played a great game against a great team. This team continues to trend upward, I think we'll beat our .545 winning record last year. I'll shoot for a clean .667.

I listened to a good amount of the first half last night on the radio as I drove. It sounded like the team played much better than they have in the past few seasons. I'm cautiously optimistic that we can continue to move forward and make some noise in the conference this season.

Dustin and Company continue to rise. James and Donovan have improved dramatically.Delph too , although it started clicking for him last year. Depth all around looks strong. Almoncey plays within himself , an advantage over JF. We are on track folks...

O'Showen Williams was fantastic last year and we needed someone to step up and replace his production. Almonacy looks to be that guy, great game from him last night. He moves well off the ball, can run point, and defend well. Definite bright spot last night. James Lewis was good, but feel he could have been featured more down the stretch. He does look like he can replace Isaac as a reliable post presence. I do question not playing Forrest down the stretch and playing Freshman CJ Huntley, Huntley did have a couple of big offensive rebounds during the comeback but don't think playing him over Forrest or Kendall Lewis late was the play. Overall loved the effort, ball movement, and grit this team has, that has definitely carried over from last season. Sad tonight's game was postponed on to Carolina University!

fwiw we could have potentially seen this out of Donovan last year if he entered the season healthy. The trio of Delph, Donovan, and Lewis on the wing is very exciting

I think this team will be very fun to watch and we'll win some games. If we can keep Kerns another year and he continues to build next year could be very nice.

I wish no jerseys had names on them, the name on the front is all that matters when you're a team.
