Not A lot to add from last night other than wishing Godspeed for Troy head coach Scott Cross, his staff and team, his entire family and numerous friends in Alabama, Texas and the great southwest due to the untimely death of Coach Crosses' mother. May the Peace of the Lord provide comfort to the Troy delegation as they fulfill their contract and return to their campus late tonight.

This is obviously a challenging time for both teams--playing a game under circumstances that are best handled in a more reverent manner. Nonetheless, play your best, and let the chips fall where they may. This won't be the most important aspect of your life today.

It's quiet here, so something good must be happening. That 50 to 26 halftime lead must have a little bit to do with it. Nice, Apps but you gotta keep stickin' it to 'em. Don't let 'em get back in it. They're still dangerous.

I just checked the game cast on ESPN. Looks like Forrest exploded in the final 4 minutes of the half. If I read the play by play correctly he nailed 4 3’s and must have been fouled on one near or at the buzzer. Was fouled and made all 3 FT’s. Nice

Woooeee DK must have lit these boys up after the game yesterday. They’ve come out with a killer instinct.

Talk about an about-face from the day prior. Love the confidence we’re seeing from Forrest...hope it continues. I don’t ever recall us reaching 50 points in the first half against a similarly talented team.

I really wish almonacy could stick around for another year. I feel comfortable when the ball is in his hands.

Excellent ball movement today, resulting in 56% from 3 and 53% overall. We played smart, played hard, and continued the suffocating defense. 5 guys in double figures and Almonacy with a double double...11 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds. This team can be very hard to handle in conference if they continue to spread the ball around and limit turnovers. I doubt we shoot that well often, but the defense should always be stout under Kerns.

Everybody in the East who lost last night, won today. Thus, all East teams stand at 1-1. The two big turn arounds were App and GS. After losing by 20+ last night GS bounced back with a win v USA. Of course, we turned a 13 point loss into a 30+ point win.

And there are still no clues as to the situation with KLewis...but methinks every day he misses lowers the probability that he'll be back. Just my anxiety disorder kickin' in, I hope!

I hope KLewis makes it back. I like watching him play defense. He hustles.

Just an observation but we seam to struggle as a team with ball handling/dribbling. (First game vs Troy). I didn't get to see today's game but if you shoot 53% from three you probably don't have to dribble well.

1/1 got out rebounded by 6, 10 assists, 12 turnovers, 40% FG
1/2 won rebound by 6, 20 assists, 8 turnovers, 55% FG

What’s the Pessimism with K Lewis returning? Is he unhappy with pt? Not sure where this is coming from. I thought he was a huge part of the team. Can’t imagine him moving on.

Shooting was the big difference, when you shoot like that you win most games

Game two was what I was expecting Friday. Energy level from the tap was night and day.Effort created open shots and we knocked em down. Polar opposite. I guess it’s going to be a roller coaster ride but the first squad to figure out how to manage the back to back schedule will have a leg up on the field.

Do we have any kind of beat writer for basketball? Ethan Joyce does an excellent job with football. Wish we had a presence like that with shooty hoops.

Probably not quite a must-win, but... we needed to get this one. Great to see them have a breakout game like that. Hopefully Forrest will be a key part of the team from here on.
