I was most definitly proud of hard hard our guys played last night. We dont seem to have the greatest talent out there, but they play rediculously hard especially defensively...Kerns is really doing a terrific job. i mean we're 10-5 right now and it wasn't long ago we would have been lucky to get 10 wins the whole season.
To be fair we are 6-5 against D1 competition. That's not to downplay being over .500 against peers, but we need to remember we played a couple of teams not much better than a good church league team. The positive note in our 5 losses, in two of those that were double digit losses, we gained revenge the next night. Only the UT game was a complete disaster.

While I was negative about taking 36 3’s....I will extol 95% from the charity stripe.

Playing these back-to-backs is really interesting, and I think they truly show what a great coach Kerns is. We haven’t lost a second game in a series yet, and we always seem to look better the second game. That’s Kerns and the rest of the coaching staff being able to do quick scouting and make adjustments literally overnight.

About 50% of these B2B series in Sun Belt play have ended with Splits, nice to know we aren't the outliers getting swept regularly

It's a shame we don't get to play Arky St or ULM this year, feel like those would be easy sweeps for us

It's crazy we can't get any updates on our "MVP" about a return or reason he hasn't been with the team

I suppose DK has his reasons. If KL is gone for good though I can’t think of one so perhaps there is room to be hopeful.

i'm guessing there are people on the board who know and the reason its not public at this point after a few weeks probably gives us our answer (at least on whether he will return or not)

In-person classes are supposed to resume on 1 February. If KLewis isn't back then...big ouch! I guess that would give Duhart, Eads and Huntley more PT the rest of the way!

By the way, has everybody noticed how Eads seems to be figuring out college bb? Duhart, also!
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

USA’s short bench certainly worked in our favor Saturday afternoon. We had much fresher legs in the last 10 mins.

App lost 4 out of our top 5 players from last year and still above .500 against D1 teams.

That is a good thing, Kerns is a good coach, while a bit premature he is probably the best we’ve had since Buzz the first time.

We actually returned 2 starters from last year in Forrest and Delph. But given the loss of our inside people from last season this team has seen the development of Donovan and Lewis plus the newcomers to not miss a beat. The most impressive thing about this team is their resiliency.
