Men's Bball Stats

Unread post by Saint3333 » Wed Jan 27, 2021 10:55 am

App's mid-point stat rankings in SBC:

Scoring O - 8th
Scoring D - 1st
FT Pct - 1st at 76% (YEEEEESSSS)
FG Pct - 8th at 44%
FG Pct D - 4th at 42%
Rebounding Margin - 5th +4 which is surprising given our lineup and defensive philosophy

And this is team ball as App has no player in the top 10 of any individual category except for Almonacy at 9th in 3-pointers made.

CCU ranks very high is many categories, 1st in FG%, FG Defense %, 3-point %, rebounding margin (+11, wow). Sounds like a matchup nightmare with our lack of experienced post players.

People underestimate how important free throw shooting is...but it has won us several ballgames to this point and will continue to help us win close games! Love seeing those numbers on top of the defensive stats. As long as we continue to be a relatively poor shooting team, those have to remain where they are.
Body stuck in Gaston County...heart stuck in Boone! Go Apps!
