Thanks for the info. Will these games be played at a later date, or cancelled?

Not sure as GA State has quite a few to make up. The conference has announced if games are made up, they will only play one of the two that were scheduled.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 7:35 pmThanks for the info. Will these games be played at a later date, or cancelled?

Turning to other Sunbelt Basketball, what are ya'll hoping to see?
Ideally Georgia Southern drops both games to Troy. Troy still has a brutal schedule so I'm less concerned about them having the tiebreaker over us then the eagles nearly vaulting over us on an off week (Although App will still have a better conference percentage regardless of what happens this weekend).
Then Coastal dropping both games would be great. I'd settle for split series on both of these sets. Next weeks games will be big if played.
ULL looks very much like the team to beat right now. If they come away with a couple wins this weekend they'll be tough to catchup to for the #1 seed. Texas St / UALR looks very interesting. If Texas St sweeps they'll be in a great spot for the #2 seed or higher.

Re: No games v. GA State
Georgia St and South Alabama making up one of their two postponed games on Tuesday at 2PM. The other game has been cancelled. They will make up one of the postponed Troy games as well on February 16th (has been scheduled for a bit). So they have three cancelled games for sure. So assuming one of the games vs App gets rescheduled it seems likely to be around the 23rd although it'll be a tight window to replay.

Great off night for App. Home teams swept the night. Georgia Southern & Coastal both lost which is very helpful. ULL dropped their game so Texas St moves back to #1 overall in Sunbelt, but door is opening for App in both division and conference leader. App probably can't drop more then a single game to win conference overall, but east is much more in play. The odd number games now makes things a bit wonky either way. 4-3 is almost a sure #2 or higher. A split against Coastal is a must for the #1 seed to be in play.

As I'm sure most of ya'll saw the weekend went well for App. Today's makeup game looks to go on. Both South Alabama and Georgia St aren't far behind from a conference win %, but best case scenario for App is probably a 2-1 split in Georgia Sts favor. App almost certainly needs to split the South Alabama series either way.
South Alabama plays Troy this weekend. A split or Troy taking both is probably ideal. Same with the Eagles.
The division is so knotted up right now that the worst case scenario is App losses coupled with some teams getting hot. At least the team has full control over their destiny. Heck they could lock up the division as early as next weekend... But in meantime a win on Thursday would be a great start...
