Not fouling on the last possession has got to be the dumbest coaching decision ive seen in some time

General rule in basketball is "don't foul the jump shooter.' The clock management wasn't bad IMO. We made them take 3 loooong treys and give them credit, they made them. Given those three possessions I would be tickled to make them take those 35 footers.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I’ll be super impressed if we find a way to win this despite that momentum swing. Resilient bunch we have.

Interesting to wait until near the end of a great win and then read the usual doom and gloom posts. Gutsy is probably the best description. Several times it looked like we were about to get run then we hit clutch shots and D’d up! Movin on boys.

It's another great day to be a Mountaineer! Great win! Gutty effort to come back from 30% shooting in the first half! Take the stairs! Now bring on Coastal!

That was a great win and the guys deserved it. I don't understand with a 3 point lead and under 3-5 seconds you must foul. Can not allow a 3 point shot. Whew!!!

4sec to go I wouldn’t foul either....the mistake was letting them roll the ball to half court 3 times

I'll disagree on the clock management. Pet peeve of mine is when you let the other team roll the ball up the court and the clock doesn't run. There were at least 3 possessions where we let them do that, go make them pick up the ball and use the clock. If we do that, they don't have time on the clock to take that final 3 pointer or it's from the other side of the court.

I was sitting there after it happened trying to think of where we played that wrong. We made most of our FT’s, sure we missed some but no team ever makes all of them down the stretch like that, we never turned it over, we weren’t giving up great looks! They were just making insane shots. Incredible guts to still win that game in OT

That was fun! Small ball wins again. They hit some insane shots but we prevailed and move on. Our starters played big minutes. Great game fellas. Get some rest and let’s bring the same effort tomorrow. Wooo!

I’m convinced Kerns can lead us to a Conference Championship in next year or two or sooner...guys buying in, bring in a few more ballers, and maybe Almonacy and Forrest come back next year. Let’s Go! Tonight was fun to watch.

And I still stand by my statement... east > west. I also stand by my statement several months before we were looking for a coach in 2019...Kerns is a good one.

The buy in part is the most convincing change to me. It’s clear that this staff and players are a cohesive bunch.

How about a day or two?
