It would have taken less time to resort to giggle.

Joe Lunardi is dead to me (mental picture that is). He is no longer welcome with Boone city limits. Any restaurant that serves him should close. He is picking App St to lose in first round play in game!! 😂

Nope. 84 did it for me. If I had gone to giggle, google, gaggle, goggle, I would have gotten fiftyleven advertisements for gear, directions, other sports, etc. You use giggle, gaggle, google, gyggle all you want. Have fun.

Yep, free season tickets to the 2029 Norfolk women' s handball/pickle ball season plus a year's ride on the Norfolk Southern freight train for 2030 with the hobo of your choice as well as a tour of the Naval Station.

Andy Katz picked us to lose as well. That's the only game prediction I've seen so far. Looks like we're a 3 point fave across the board on Vegas Insider.

Group of six of us wanting to head to Indy to watch our Mountaineers. We weren't able to get any tickets through App. Anybody got any ideas on how to wrangle tickets for play in game? I see plenty of first rounds tickets available for Saturday night should we advance. Go App!

I would suggest lycos or altavista

I've heard of them, but just not interested although have heard a few people say they are good. Duck duck go is good but it is so slow and limited. Just rather hear some of the guys croak about google on here. Interesting thing it seems I can use google one minute to search a topic, then try again with the same topic and get entirely different results in just a minute or so. Mostly mixed with advertising sort of things.

Try the Brave browser if you don't like ads. Check out the review of Brave by ComputerWorld, they offer is a pretty fair representation of what the browser can do. I won't post the link here in case Admin frowns on that sort of behavior.

Brave also offers incognito (like Chrome) and Tor browser functionality as options. Tor isn't speedy but extremely beneficial if anonymity is important to you.

Tried it once and didn't like it, but may try again. It's just more fun to tee off BF and a few of the others. Don't like to antagonize, but heck 90% of what I post brings them out. So what the heck. I like peace, but still......

Duck Duck Go does have some good privacy features which I appreciate. You can change some features with Google to anonymize the results and therefore the ads provided. The price one pays for free search. You are not the customer but the product in the case of Google.

I was taking the piss with you just a bit with lycos and altavista. They were search engines back in the 90s before Google started. I think they were more like an index than search in the current sense of internet search. However the websites still work and it might be worth giving them a try and you may find them to your liking.

McL, I took one of the posters' advice and downloaded Bravo a few hours ago from Google. It seems there is a waiting period of 24 to 48 hours before they activate it.

Duck duck go as I mentioned was so darn slow and limited in sites it reveals. Regardless, I may download both.
I just detest Google and everything about it. It has taken over and/or infiltrated everything on the internet including their sorry equipment. The first thing that teed me off was them taking over Picassa that I used to use to download, edit, and email photos. I had hundreds of photos on it when Google took over. Then it wouldn't work reliably so it had to be deleted along with all my photos..

Thanks for the advice, regardless, McL. Problem is you and some others on here are so technically savvy that it's almost impossible for me to wrap my head around your expertise and apply your instructions some times (or most of the time).

I'd pay good money for a Norfolk & Waypal Freight engine if you have one...

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I was just trying to find info on NSU, and stumbled across a couple things from as late as November, saying that they were considering dropping back to D2...

I’m surprised during the pandemic we didn’t see half a dozen schools drop down a level in competition. I guess the biggest deterrent is loss of sponsorships would cost schools more money than trudging on where they are. Heck even ULM is investing in a who’s who of has-beens to get something going... and we all thought for sure if any one Sunbelt team was going to step down it was going to be them.

Dropping down is pretty rare and generally seems to be all the way to non-scholly DIII as much as anything when it does happen.

Two other HBCUs in Virginia are D2 and once were rivals of the Spartans. Both Virginia State and Virginia Union are D2 HBCUs within the commonwealth. Both Norfolk State and Hampton left the D2 ranks and made the jump in the mid 1990s from the CIAA.
