For those who don't know, Omar Carter was an App State MBB standout around a decade ago. After his college career and (I believe) one season playing overseas, Carter collapsed at a pickup game in Charlotte as his heart stopped. A nurse who happened to be there broke into a room that had an AED device and used it to save his life. He later woke up in the hospital after being in a coma. Carter now runs the OC Foundation which aims to give people AED and CPR education.

No, Nod played for Tom Apke. Omar came along ten or so years later than Nod...check your PM.

My wife had some scary medical moments earlier today. She's gonna be fine, for now. More scans to be done next week. I'll get that PM posted sometime tonight! And, yes, I was there for the Nebraska game! There's a sad reason Nod couldn't finish his playing career with us as he had planned.

Buzz brought Omar in as a transfer from Charleston Southern when he came back for the one year stint.
