Although great for stat stuffing, the only joy for me was that BBall season is upon us. I think we have some indication of what we got in the short run after next 3 to 5 games. Several new faces on the team will take time to gel. I want to see the team under some stress to see what we have...not necessarily a close game throughout the game but a good 15 to 20 minutes... that's when you see what you got. Glad it is BBall season.

Great to see the FT % up there, hopefully continues. That'd be a huge boost with the team's style of play.

Boykin, the d2 transfer, looks quicker and more efficient than both Almonacy and Forrest were. I wish we could have him for more than one season. We are longer and more athletic than ever with Huntley, Pearson, Abson, Walker, etc. 3 of those 4 can stretch the floor as shooters as well...Mantis will cause problems as well with his shooting and length. He seems to have unlimited range. The Belt will be tough with most schools gaining new contributors from the portal, but I'm excited/optimistic. An encouraging trend I've seen is far more extra passes than I've noticed in the past, both in the Bahamas games and last night.

How many guys on this team are transfers and from where? I could see Kerns really using the portal to his advantage. We’re a program on the rise with an opportunity to win this conference every year.

All the player personnel info is here...where they've played as collegians and their bios. We have seven new guys. That number includes three freshmen and four transfers.

Listened to the BGP podcast last night, they had Kerns on. He got me pumped for basketball, most depth we've had since he's been here and should play much faster.

Looking forward to seeing them in person after the ODU game, highly encourage everyone staying up for the weekend to come!

Also basketball sold over 1,000 season tickets, a record for us.

Actually coming up Friday before ODU to see the Campbell game.
