Anyone know why our social media team doesn’t tweet the result if it’s a loss? Seems bush league to me.

They tend to live tweet throughout the games, including graphics like the halftime against UNCC:



But once the tides turned they just stopped. Same for Wake. We posted this and then apparently nothing ever happened.



Is this common practice with other athletic departments or are we just sore losers?

I think you’re right but it seems to draw even more attention. There are UNCC and Wake fans laughing at us in the comments of that last Wake post.

What is wrong with Twitter?

Not to fond of the owner personally.

There was the funny Modern Day Seinfeld a few years ago that was worth the read and I enjoy hearing from Kidd Brewer during football season. That's about it for me. I have been meaning to cancel my Twitter actually.

I know it is part of the social media fabric for now, but if we stopped using it I would not be upset. At the rate things are going it may not last. The EU may fine the company for blocking journalists, which is only more money out for a company that is not selling lots of ads right now.

You won’t miss it at all. Nor facebook and all the rest. It’ll give you more time to do something worthwhile and enjoyable.

Agreed...I dumped social media 7 years ago...before it went nuts with all the political stuff.
Only thing I miss is getting updates from family members who are spread far and wide.

Only now that I think about it...my wife is still on FB so she shares all that stuff with me.
So I guess it all worked out.

So.... by reading this thread and what is kinda of happening it seems to me that when they lose or getting beat twitter silence from MBB account. Interesting, I guess they are not taking all the stairs, only taking the stairs 3/4's of the way.

Beat Regent and that twitter account will be popping off every 2 minutes!!
