I saw a preseason magazine yesterday that has us picked first as well. They picked us as only SBC team to make the NCAA tournament.

Should be an exciting season. Can't wait to tune in, and possibly attend a game or two.

I believe the Sun Belt coaches poll comes out today, App is picked second there. Planning to make a game or two this year. Some good additions via the portal and key member coming back. Looking forward to seeing some strong bball on the mountain this year.

Wow … not one team inside the top 100. With that said, why are we expected to be one of the better teams in the league?

Really thinking this could be a breakout year on the hardwood. We have a great shot to start 3-0 and grab a P5 win at Oregon St! SBC is gonna be tough but with Gregory, Mantis Huntly and company I think we may be in for the best season under Kerns. Just hope we can keep him on the Mtn for the foreseeable future.

Yes-we had a PG transfer in from
Butler and a JUCO all American as well. The PG is supposed to be a difference maker.

This is, potentially, the most talented men’s bball team to take the court in at least 4 or 5 years.

Should be one of the better defensive teams in the SBC with Gregory, Brown, and Abson then add Spiller who lead the Juco ranks with 4+ block per game and 11 RPG.

I'm not as high on the Butler transfer, I'm hopeful Marsh is good enough to get 15 minutes a game, we need another guard that create his own shot.

Strothers might have a huge upside, although only a freshman.

Women were picked 12th. Emily Carver was a third team pick.

Men picked 2nd by the coaches; JMU first.

Maybe we can upset someone in a preaseason tournament.

Our schedule this season at least opens up the possibility of an at-large if we crush the OOC portion. There are 4-5 teams that could possibly be decent tier wins in addition to Auburn at home. Especially if we're the best in Sunbelt and grab a good MAC opponent for the late season matchup.

Regardless it'll be a fun schedule. The conference portion starts really tough so if the team can play well then, they'll put themselves in great position heading into the home stretch.

Men are playing in the Fort Myers Tip-off event Thanksgiving week. They play UNCW on Tuesday and Murry State on Wednesday both games at Noon.
