Bummer. Hit a miracle 3 to get down by 2 then give up a wide open layup to seal it. Pain.
I remember someone said this is the best team we have had in a long time and the talent is there but we have to be more consistent and shoot better both from the 3-point line and free throws. If we can do that we could be good though because we show the ability to play good defense, have length, and are athletic. If we can become consistent we can really be dangerous. At least we know JMU is beatable though.
I have said this is the best team App has had in years. I also pointed out that Troy is a good (not by any means great). Their losses aren't all that bad. The bottom line is that we could still win 22 (maybe 23) games this year. We have some things we need to address. Obviously, we have to be better at FTs. But also, and I don't know how to say it, have to work on our substitutions.

Yeah, we need to be more accurate from the free throw line. We also need better play in the backcourt than we saw in the Troy game. We’ve seen Tate, Harcum, Brown, Gregory and Marsh all play at a high level, so we known it’s possible.
