We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Myles Tate
We seem to have a very capable Sports Information office. That said, I’m hoping they’re working up a hefty promotional package for Myles Tate who is quietly having a Sun Belt MVP-caliber season. I say “quietly” because his numbers are a bit misleading. In Sun Belt games, he currently leads the conference in assists, is 4th in steals, 4th in assists-to-turnover ratio, 4th in minutes played, 5th in scoring, 12th in shooting percentage, 13th in free throw percentage, and 14th in 3-point shooting percentage. Too often voters look at scoring only when figuring out postseason recognition, but collectively Tate’s numbers are among the best in the nation.

Re: Miles Tate
Announcers Saturday only one other player averages as many points, rebounds, assists, and steals as Tate in the nation. He's a sure SBC 1st teamer and should be considered the MVP.AppGrad78 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:45 pmWe seem to have a very capable Sports Information office. Tate’s problem is that his best quality — the ability to dole out impressive numbers of assists — isn’t an attention grabber like points and rebounds are. Voters are going to have to dive deep into his resume to fully appreciate his value.

Re: Miles Tate
Yah Kenpom currently has Tate as the Sunbelt MVP and it's a pretty holistic analysis obviously. If the team manages to win the SBB tournament it'd be a complete crock of bullshit for him to not walk away with the award. Especially with him and CJ coming back with an almost entirely new team .AppGrad78 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:16 pmSo true.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 4:44 pmI could be wrong, but a championship would go a long way to helping him get the MVP.

I thought those awards were announced prior to the tournament.agentpaul001 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 3:31 amYah Kenpom currently has Tate as the Sunbelt MVP and it's a pretty holistic analysis obviously. Re: Miles Tate
This is kinda “nit picky” and I really hope I’m wrong but isn’t his first name spelled Myles?

Re: Myles Tate
Tate now winning SBC POY is a close 2nd snub behind Banks Tolley not winning SBC POY.

Re: Myles Tate
Both well deserved. Tate should've won POY but the dip to close out February was tough.
Losing out to a Troy player... opportunity to get back at them in a few days... Tate has been keyed in this season, but this doesn't hurt lol.
