Goupstate.com offers a recruiting update on SG Justin McKie (6-4, 180) of Ermo High School in Columbia, S.C. He holds several high-major offers but seems to have some interest in us.

I've updated the recruiting list at the top of this thread, adding three or four new names.

I appreciate your hard work that keeps informed on the ASU recruiting front. When you add to the list is there a way to denote the additions so we know who you've added?

Again, thanks for your efforts!

Thank, Hapapp. Each time I add a new name, I'll try to write a short post to call attention to it.

The Robesonian in Lumberton, NC, has written a story on a player we've offered, F Jarad Scott (6-8, 185) of Flora Macdonald Academy in Red Springs, NC.

Scratch SG Clay Byrd (6-1, 175) of East Burke off our list. The Morganton News-Herald says he has commited to UNCG.

According to recruiting guru Justin Byerly via Twitter, SF/wing guard Christian Hairston (6-7, 185) of Greensboro Day School in Greensboro plans to make an official visit to ASU this weekend. That's an interesting development because we appear to have all of our scholarships accounted for. Scout.com rates Hairston a three-star prospect.

I've added PF Mike Kobani (6-8, 230) of High Point Christian in High Point to the master list. He was recently connected to App on the rivals.com database. The Nigerian-born athlete has played at several high schools and is a three-star who at one time was ranked among the top 150 players in the country by ESPN.com. Rivals says he holds offers from us and LaSalle, with interest from Old Dominion.

How many spots do we have for this class? I know we have 4 verbals currently, so how many more openings do we have for players for the class of 2013?? Mike Kobani looks like a player we could really use. I hope we can land him.

The best I can cipher, all our scholarships are accounted for with the four new commitments. However, I believe I saw SG Christian Hairston (6-7, 195) of Greensboro Day walking around campus Saturday during his official visit. Apparently we're still recruiting 2013 players.

Sorry I see now you posted that earlier in the thread. I don't know why I didn't notice it. Either way thanks for the info. I don't know that much about the recruiting process but it seems strange that we still have guys making visits regularly and are contacting other recruits. I wonder if this is just in case someone backs out.

McKie, son of B.J., has committed to USC. Trey Smith of Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville (2013) has committed to Charleston Southern. A steal for CSU.

Dual-sport standout Rontavius McClure (6-6, 215) of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, S.C., says he'd rather play basketball in college. Appalachian State has interest in him regardless of which sport he chooses.

The Apps announced four signings today: Graham, Kobani, Scott and Toney. No word on Marki Bryan. I'm guessing -- and it's purely a guess -- that he's either an invited walk-on or plans to wait until the next signing period.
