If you dreamed of Pearl as our next coach, you may now mark him off the list. He's going to Auburn.

Thank God we did not hire him. He is a class "A" jerk and crook. Perfect fit with him at Auburn; since you can cheat and get away with it there.

Right Cam? ;)

You left out Florida where Cam was a crook, right?

Phil Jackson also accepted an offer with the Knicks front office today.

We had about a good of shot with Phil as we did with Pearl.

I do wonder if Phil ever crashed at Michael's place?

If CC hired Mike Rhoades from VCU, would you criticize that decision? I'm just curious as to what CC could do that would make you happy--other than resigning, of course.

You are straying off topic. My last post has to do with the delusional fans on this forum that think we had a shot at a Bruce Pearl or a Seth Greenberg.

I'll answer your question doe. Mike Rhoades seems like he would be a fantastic hire. But didn't CC hee and haw in the presser about hiring someone with head coaching experience? After blabbing on about that and then going the assistant route again would be vintage Cobb.

I still think the unnamed 1-A basketball coach alluded to on another thread is still the frontrunner.

I wasn't trying to stay on topic. But, thanks for the recap of the thread.

The funny thing about CC's "hee and haw in the presser about hiring someone with head coaching experience" is that Mike Rhoades does have head coaching experience. You're slipping, try again.

You got me. How could I forget the glory days of Randolph-Macon basketball?

Seriously, this seems like a good hire based on the reputation from his peers.

I just didn't want you to bash CC for something that he didn't do, when there's plenty of actual reasons to do so. I'm just trying to help you keep it all straight.

I agree, I'm pulling for Mike Rhoades--especially over the UNCC re-tread.

Randy Mac has traditionally been a very strong DIII program. Everyone raves about Bobby Cremins (rightly so), check out his coaching resume before arriving at App.
