Re: AppHoops Post: Jake Babic
I think people are making too much out of his weight. 6'5" 185 is not that slight for a guard. Sure he'll add a little weight as he matures, but by comparison, the top player in NC for 2015, Brandon Ingram, is 6'8", 175. And the following players - all of whom are as old or older than Babic - are projected as NBA first round picks this year:
Andrew Wiggins - 6-8, 197
Dante Exum - 6-6, 196
Zach Lavine - 6-6, 181
KJ McDaniels - 6-6, 196
Elfrid Payton - 6-4, 185
Andrew Wiggins - 6-8, 197
Dante Exum - 6-6, 196
Zach Lavine - 6-6, 181
KJ McDaniels - 6-6, 196
Elfrid Payton - 6-4, 185

You're right and he's gonna be a matchup nightmare for opposing PG's defensively, but I can only imagine how much more explosive he'd be if he was 6-5 and close to 200! (Adding more muscle than fat of course!)

I think you're right that 200 is probably about where he'll eventually land as well. Shouldn't be any problem to add 15 lbs. of good weight in a year or two.
I really like the skill he shows in that video. Anyone have any stats from this past season? Would like to see what his shooting percentages were..

Re: AppHoops Post: Jake Babic
I recall reading that during his season at The Siski School, he averaged 24 pts. per game and shot 42 percent from the floor. The site I saw didn't break it down to 2 pt. and 3 pt. FGs. I do also remember reading that he's accurate from the rim out to the arc. If that's a combined percentage for both--that's some good shooting. A lot better than we're accustomed to.EastHallApp wrote:I think you're right that 200 is probably about where he'll eventually land as well. If I can find that site again, I'll post the link.
