Kind of like it. Simple but elegant. Not cluttered like many schools have had recently.

I'm really digging it. I agree on the simplicity and I love the alternating tones...not over-the-top like some of these courts today. I'm not a big fan of painting the "paint" either, so this is great. There is a little voice in the back of my head that makes me wonder what some subtle blue ridge mountain shadows might look like around the baselines, sort of in the vein of Oregon's court, but less Oregon, if that makes any sense.

looks great, but I agree could use alittle more color to give it some pop, but, overall I really like it

Good to see we are still using the real block A and not what is on the helmets. I was worried there for a bit.

Another improvement is the benches have been moved. Now, television cameras will face the team and our students will be directly behind them.

I remember when the opposite happened in Varsity and they moved the teams to the other side away from the students. We use to get behind the opposing teams bench and stay in their ear for 40 minutes. Poor kid on the end of the bench from VMI got popped by his coach because he was jawing with us instead of paying attention to the game.

I like the moving of the benche. My only thing is that the requirement that opposing teams ticket allotment being behind their bench rules out students being behind them I do believe. Also, I think having the students right in the section in the corner and also the endzone area so to speak would be a solid idea. However, students behind our bench is a curious concern....will they move the "nicer" chairs behind the App bench or allow students to sit there? I dont think it matters as either side is a great view.

Like it. Simply unpainted hardwood throughout, which is what a court should look like. I'm getting worried courts are going to trend in the same direction football fields are heading toward.

Now, get off my lawn!

Nope. The benches are in the same places that they have been.

"the court will be oriented away from the scorer’s table to allow for television cameras to shoot towards the team benches."

What this means is that the Block A will be facing away from the benches and towards the student sections.
A few years ago, some people in the athletics office decided that they would try and make it so that TV crews (and goasu.tv) would shoot towards the student section and over the benches. While GoASU has still done this, the majority of the TV crews have said "yeah right" and placed their cameras in the traditional place of in front the benches. All they are doing is returning the court to the same orientation as 95% of D1.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.
