I don't expect a win, but attendance will be important as we'll have recruits on campus. Weather looks nice for tomorrow for mid-Jan.

I'm taking both of my sons tomorrow for my first game of the year. Looking forward to seeing coach Fox on the sidelines doing something unique...actually coaching, contrary to what I witnessed the last couple of seasons.

I read your blog. You did a nice job of breaking it down. Just one comment. It won't matter how great we play on defense if we shoot 29% from the floor and 52% from the FT line again!

And yeah, CCobb will be on hand to smirk if his team runs us out of our own arena. I hope that doesn't occur.

Too true. Watched the Arky State game last night on TV and all I could do was shake my head. When Eaves missed those two FT's at the end to cut the deficit from 6 to 4 I just laughed. That guy hardly ever misses one FT much less two.

Thanks for reading!

OK, so RPI #108 Georgia State (10-6) pays a visit to HCC tomorrow afternoon to take on our RPI #293 Apps (4-9). AppHoops has already broken down the key stats in the game; so I won't repeat or debate them. Suffice it to say that according to ESPN RPI rankings and power ratings, GaState is a solid 9 point favorite--and could go 12+. I really, really, really hope our guys can man up for this one!

If any GA St. fan smiles remind them of the number 62.

Clear weather, Sat PM tipoff against a quality opponent - sounds like it's time to head up the mountain and check out the Apps on the hardwood.

Too bad Brownie wasn't there to say, "take that, orange sweater boy" on the air.

I don't know how many but most of the visitors were there. Dez Reed tweeted about being at the game hanging with the fellas. Gotta figure most were there. Great win for the Apps!!!

The boys sent 2,622 (minus a few, I guess) fans home happy. Good crowd, and hopefully soon that becomes the weeknight number, with the weekend drawing twice that.

I was at the game.

couple of points:

Jim Fox can coach....
Our kids had EVERY opportunity to quit and didn't...
The crowd was great....but boy do we have some educating to do....They/me just about did not know how to react when it got close.....and we won. I think the kids thought the students would storm the floor....most do not know how good GaSt. is.

Fox was fantastic postgame. He said something to the effect that when took the job it was for creating atmospheres like this. The way he took the kids to center court and acknowledged the crowd was sweet.

Was sitting near Beasley. Told him to call Charlie!

Seemed like more than the 2622 announced...great game to watch and boy did the guys hit big shots down the stretch. Spagnolo had a great second half and eaves was shooting lights out today. I concur, it was great watching coach and the team recognize the crowd after the game. After watching Harrow and Hunter go off in the first half I wasn't sure if we had the guards to match them but Burgess played a great second half. Great day to be in Boone!
