RPI #285 App State (5-10, 2-4) is in Troy, AL today for an 8:30 PM ET clash with the RPI #296 Troy Trojans (7-8, 2-4). The Apps, of course, are only 2-4 in the month of January--but should be energized and self-confident after their upset of pre-season SunBelt favorite Georgia State on Saturday night. Troy, on the other hand, has been only percentage points better, having gone 2-3 this month. They are, however, flying high after a 4 point upset win over Georgia Southern on their home court on Saturday evening.

Troy tends to win when they're at home, when they're hitting from behind arc and from the FT line. That was the case Saturday night against GaSouth; the stars were in alignment. Can they do it two games in a row?

The Apps have pretty much struggled all season at home and on the road. Can they put back-to-back wins together? They're a much improved outfit.

The numbers game junkies make this a virtual toss-up, except that Troy is at home. One service has Troy by 4. It could be a nail-biter.

FWIW, The Apps hold a 2-0 series lead over the Trojans; but both games were in the 1950's.

We already have more D1 wins this season than last season. Considering we lost pretty much all of our scoring minus Spag, each win is like a mini miracle.
