Suffering a rare off night by Mariah Sydnor, the Mountaineer women (9-9, 4-5 Sun Belt) fell to Tx State 67-58 on the road in San Marcos. The Bobcats pulled ahead in the last three minutes to pick up the win.

Re: WBkB @ Tx State
I just caught about a minute of the broadcast with just iver five minutes to play. THey mentioned someone with an injury that just couldn't continue. I didn't catch a name; but I assume from the box score it must have been Sydnor.Rick0714 wrote:Not sure why Snydor only played 17 mins. Only had 1 foul. Was she injured?
That's a huge loss if she's not available going forward.

Re: WBkB @ Tx State
You just can't admit wrong, can you? Most would start off their congratulations with a qualifier like, "tough loss, but considering all the shtuff they had to endure in the offseason, I'm proud of how well these girls have played..." Or they might have said something after being questioned like, "I should have been a little more clear. My thought process was...but I can see how that would be misinterpreted..." But not Cline. No. It's "I have to be right, and I will split hairs and bend definitions 180 degrees if need be in order to be right, because, dammit, I just have to be correct."
As to San Marcos, I've never been there, but from what I gather, and what I've googled (it's a search engine website folks go to when seeking easily attainable information - many on the MMB will see what I did here), San Marcos looks to be far from God-forsaken. I hope to make it out there one day for a game. It looks like a beautiful part of the country.
