I'll take what do you mean for $400 please, Alex.

Hearing from a few sources that one of Capel's commits will not come to App if Capel is indeed fired at season's end (likely). I don't want to delve in too much until I know a little more.

I hope he waits until end of season to sign LOI, easier for him and us.

Capel is not getting fired. To borrow from the WWE, at the end of the season we will be wishing him the best in his future endeavors.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.

If he is so in dedicated to Jason being his coach, I have questions as to if he has been paying attention to the past 3 years.

Posted that in the Capel thread. I was waiting to put it in here until it was official. Same with Flomo. Figured it was coming but just wanting it confirmed.

Flomo's camp said that he'd seek release if Capel was gone back in January. I'm sure that'll be official soon.

I figured it was coming but until they are released I'm going to leave both on the Main Page. Still hope the new coach is a good salesman in addition to being a good coach. Just more work to do if we lose our only two commits for next year also.

It's a tough situation for sure. If you release Worrell and/or Flomo, then you have to release Graham as well.

I won't be expecting a decision until after the Final Four, but in the fast-paced world of college athletics, this is one reason you might want to get someone sooner rather than later.

Very True. The hole just gets deeper if we lose Worrell and Flomo also. We're going to need a lot to fill in the hole. I'm just hoping we fill it in with concrete instead of dirt. Concrete is a foundation, which is what we need.

Another advantage of bringing in a previous head coach is, if their actively coaching, is they potentially can bring along their recruits to help even out the Worrell and potential Flomo losses.

Flomo is out. It's official.

Per @Winston_Watch

@KedrickFlomo_12 North Forsyth C/O 2014 has asked Appalachian State to release him from his National Letter of intent.

Why bother to commit? He knew Capel was soon to be gone. If you were only committing because you like a coach, that's dumb. You need to like the school first.

Recruits often have a knee-jerk reaction to decommit when the coach who recruited them is fired. The new coach is often able to convince them to reconsider. Cobb should just tell them to hold off until they have a chance to speak with the new coach. If they still want out then, so be it.

We'll keep posting updates to this thread. As far as the Main Page goes it says that they have signed their NLI's. I'm going to leave it that way until they are released and will add anyone the next coach might bring. Once all this mess is sorted out I'll redo the page.

For most kids the reason they commit is the relationship they develop with the coaches. The school is usually secondary. It is not unusual for kids to ask for a release when the guy they recruited is let go. The first thing a kid says upon his decision to commit is that he had a good relationship with the coaching staff.

If we lose Flomo, that will be three impact players we will have lost for three consecutive years. It kills me to watch Spike Albrecht playing for Michigan knowing what he could have done for us. Obviously, Graham would have meant a lot to the program this year. Flomo appears to be another kid who would contribute immediately. Overlooked in all of this is the fact Capel and staff found these kids before anyone else realized their potential and talent. Unfortunately, they were unable to deliver them to Boone. It does, however, suggest some ability in identifying talent.

I hate to lose this kid but he had to know we weren't gonna keep Capel. We've been about as bad a D1 team as we could be for 4 yrs. What difference does one more yr. make. I'm for getting a coach that can turn this thing around and get to the NCAA tournament at least once every 5 to 6 yrs. Is that asking too much?Short term pain- hopefully long term gain.

If Worrell and Flomo are both gone, then it becomes more vital that Spagnolo's sixth year petition goes through.

This Tweet was quickly deleted for obvious reasons.

@Coach_Rick57 Per reliable source, if/when Devonte Graham gets release from ASU, "Don't be surprised if he ends up in Raleigh."

Graham's people need to learn when to stop talking.
