33-21...outshot in the paint by 10.

Nice run to finish the half. Trail 37-29.

47-36... came out cold 1-11 from the field. Seldom us e d freshman Bennett Holley 3-5 from 3 is our only player with any shooting touch.

54-38 after an App State technical.

We are 3-17 from three, Holley 3-6.

We are shooting 25% this half...ULM 63%.

Getting tired of the "Oh, Deng" comment every time Deng does something.

Serious question. What happened to our basketball program? Buzz, Capel, Cobb hiring them? It's very sad. Between the bad starts and the losses to teams not even in the NCAA, the past years have been painful.

I don't love Buzz any more than the next guy, but this isn't on him. He lied through his teeth about wanting to put down roots (or however he said it), but he did improve the program a good bit in his one-year stint, and left behind a roster with enough talent that it was one of the preseason SoCon faves the next year.

If Cobb simply did the obvious and hired Matt McMahon when Buzz left, we probably wouldn't be in this spot. At the very least, it would have been a credible hire.

Capel was simply in over his head, and cratered the program in pretty much every possible way.

You know you did a bad job when someone on here mentions Buzz in a good light in comparison.

In all honesty, our B-ball program has never been strong - BUT it has been competitive. Over history, our biggest problem in my opinion is consistency. We never have 2 or 3 players on the same team that can be counted on for 15 points game in and game out. Our players have always been streaky - 35 points one game from a player then 7 the next.

Recent issues are directly related to CC's hire of unCAPELble... Capel ran the program into the absolute ground and CC stood by and let it happen. Fox is in process of cleaning up his mess, which is evidenced by all the very young players on the roster and getting PT.

I have seen flashes this year and think once the young guys gain confidence and we develop an inside presence, we will start to see results. I am
Hopeful we close the season this year like last - only this year make the Tourney (b/c we are now post-season eligible).

I've been told by a couple of UNC fans that they were pretty impressed by how we played. I think we have a lot of upside and just need to be more consistent.

I just distinguish between Buzz the person and Buzz the coach. Can't imagine many found fault with his on-court results at App.
