GA Su@App-watch last 5 sec
GA Su@App-watch last 5 sec
Go to CBS Sports, NCAA BB news, click on the game. Should have been no call. Ga So player deserves credit for good acting, just proves officials call what they think happen sometimes instead of what they actually see. Officials have a tuff job because players have over the last 10 have years become great actors because they know it works. Should have been an overtime!t. I was at game on front row!

Just looked at it several times. Pretty disgusting. what a flop job that guy put on and the ref fell for it hook, line and sinker. That's heartbreaking.

Well, at least it's not a six foot foul shot.

How does Fox not receive any blame for this loss? I cant believe you guys are blaming refs instead of the players and coaches. It was a senior, not a freshman making that mistake.
Poor coaching led to this collapse.

Re: GA Su@App-watch last 5 sec
The simple fact of the matter is that it was bad defense by us all the way around. #1 - we were down 3 and we should have fouled as soon as their guy crossed halfcourt, they would have had 2 free throws and we would have gotten the ball back and probably could have easily run the clock out. #2 - How many times have you seen this kind of thing happen? Fouling 3 point shooter in the act of shooting never produces a good outcome, even if it wasn't really a foul, it's gonna get called, it always does.

Well, in the fouling scenario they would have intentionally tried to miss the second one in hopes of getting the rebound and putting in the tying bucket.
I do like how Wisconsin handled it last night versus Indiana. Same basic situation. They called a timeout after the made free throws and set up their defense, which was to press and make it difficult for the Hoosiers to in bound the ball forcing a turnover.

Certainly and I would expect nothing less. But we gave them the game with our play in the last offensive and defensive set.hapapp wrote:Well, in the fouling scenario they would have intentionally tried to miss the second one in hopes of getting the rebound and putting in the tying bucket.

I always try to stick by this- don't let the game come down to one call by an official. I'm pretty sure you can go back through the game and find lots of missed opportunities that would have prevented an end game situation like this. When one team is better than the opponent that team has to make the plays and prevent a terrible ending like what happened the other night.

As Wilborn said on PTI, "I don't know if he fouled him or not, certainly not clear from this angle, but WHY WAS HE OUT THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?" ---

Va @ Wake last night had a similiar ending, but official did not call a foul and the shooter got knock down or shooter made it look it and official did not fall for it.
