56 - 50 Tx State 5:50 remaining in game. Not looking good. USAJags have gone several minutes w/o a basket. They've also used up all of their time-outs.

3:33 to play. Tx State up by 5; and will have two foul shots after the under 4 media TO!

If only USA made some shots down the stretch... Still two minutes left but pending a miracle we look to be waiting on Nola a little longer.

66 - 55 Tx State 0:57 to play. It's essentially over for the Apps. Just wait 'til next season!

No dice. Strong finish for our guys. Fox will have them ready for next season. The summer trip abroad will go a long way in helping with the progress.

Stick a fork in it; it's well done! Tx State to NOLA. Our guys simply waited too late in the season to get it in gear. Maybe a lesson was learned. Maybe!

Coach Fox said it himself in the post game, you never want to put yourself in a position of depending on others to accomplish your goals.
Kudos to the guys though for finishing the season with two straight wins. Our two game win streak will be one of the longest in the country going into next season.

The freshman will make progress this offseason and we'll get better.

We should have the fourth or fifth longest win streak, assuming the CBI still is a best of three finals.hapapp wrote:Coach Fox said it himself in the post game, you never want to put yourself in a position of depending on others to accomplish your goals.

It's not a secret that Fox didn't care for his seniors. But, a little thank you would have been appreciated. They worked hard and they deserved some respect. When you are trying to build a program you really should build a relationship with all of the team not just the boys that you recruit. Tenth place is not exactly a good season! Good luck to ALL of the five seniors that worked so hard and dedicated their lives to ASU basketball. I am proud of each of you!

Re: MBB: Do or Die Tx State v. USA
Technically, it was 9th. Not sure what you wanted him to do differently. He started his five seniors and let them play a good portion of time before subbing them out. (My criticism would have been doing it wholesale). He credited Frank, Lawson, and Obacha in the post game. He also expressed his satisfaction with Clarke's play. Most games he started 2-3 seniors and most games four of them played substantial minutes.
He is building for the future and while I think a 10 man rotation disrupts the flow, he realizes the importance of developing young players for the future. He would be the first to admit that this is a learning process for him as well.

This is common knowledge? Or is it conjecture?
