Exactly. Man gets away with murder, sells his buddies out for the murder and is looked upon by most as a hero. Got to go with Kilgore and 49ers.

Never liked Flacco. Never liked Ray "Criminal" "Faker" "Two-Bit" "Idiot" Lewis either.
Guess I'll be pulling for 49ers (barely).

Got away with a murder. Threw his buddies under the bus. Walked away clean and is now viewed as a hero.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:Can you give me a 30-sec synopsis?appst89 wrote:Can't pull for any team with Ray Lewis on it. Go Kilgore!AppGrad1 wrote:I'm pulling for the guy. Seems like a good guy.

Also on the Ravens is James Ihedigbo, safety out of UMass who lost to Appalachian in the 2006 title game. Some may remember the vicious hit he put on Armanti when he ran across the middle, it definitely made some top ten lists that week.

So is Kilgore who actually scored a TD in the NC game against Delaware. Go DK! Go App! Go Niners!

Near the bottom of his wikipedia page -
"Lewis is a Christian, and his commitment to his faith was featured in a Sports Illustrated cover story in 2006. He has six children by four women."
Not to sound prudish nor trying to be judgmental, but that is a rather odd juxtaposition in those 2 sentences.

Re: Flacco's in the Super Bowl
The scrum when KR fumbled into the end zone during the '07 Championship happened right in front of me. This is RS freshman Daniel Kilgore's coming up with the ball after many seconds unscrambling the pile. He wrestled the ball from a Delaware guy, who clearly had a better shot at corralling it, then stuck it over his head in celebration. One of the best highlights to me of a grand night.

Another interesting tidbit is that one of Kilgore's teammates on the 49ers is Mario Manningham, who caught the long pass from Chad Henne to set up that ill-fated FG attempt in the Big House.

Well that's your version anyway. The reality is not so black and white. If it were so crystal clear that Ray Lewis murdered somebody we would not be discussing him right now.
I think this is a great Stupor Bowl match up and should be a great game. Just tickled that we don't have Brady/Belichick, Giants or Green Bay.

Re: Flacco's in the Super Bowl
Lied to the cops, paid off the victims' families, the suit he was wearing that night never found, turned state's witness against his frineds; more than enough circumstantial evidence for me. Maybe not for you. That's okay. I don't like him, I don't believe he is any kind of hero and I surely hope he doesn't get to strut around with another champinship ring.fjblair wrote:appst89 wrote:Got away with a murder. Re: Flacco's in the Super Bowl
I don't know what happened that night. The circumstantial evidence certainly seems convincing for his culpability. I do think it is worth noting that he seems to have turned his life around since that time. It's been 13 years, and I do believe that people can change and become better people. I don't know if he is a better person, but I'm not willing to say he is the same person now as he was then.fjblair wrote:Lied to the cops, paid off the victims' families, the suit he was wearing that night never found, turned state's witness against his frineds; more than enough circumstantial evidence for me. With that said, I will be pulling for the 49ers and Mr. Kilgore!
