Played his music on WASU's jazz program in the 70's.A leader in the contemporary jazz movement.

I got to see Chick play with Bela Fleck at the Ruby Diamond Auditorium at Florida State. They were amazing. I remember everyone laughing at one part of a particular tune. How can humor be communicated in instrumental music? That's how good they were.
