Brooks Robinson
I was in awe of him back in the day .He just got to every ball , somehow. And a class act. Another icon of a different time , a much different time, gone .May he rest in peace.

Re: Brooks Robinson
I've tried to find and watch older games that pop up on the internet. It looks like even in the late 60's and early 70's the fields were not always as manicured as they are today. Bad hops were more prevalent. Guys like BR were amazing.

Re: Brooks Robinson
He singlehandedly killed my Reds in the '70 series. Always remember the extra small visor on his batting helmet. Nobody else used one like it.

Re: Brooks Robinson
What he did to the 1970 Reds was downright thievery... He owned Johnny Bench in that World Series.

And I AM a Mountaineer!
