John Mellencamp is in Charlotte next month.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 7:33 amIf the Stones tour again you should go. Went to the show in Charlotte last year and it was awesome. No, Mick can”t hit every note but that didn’t matter. He found away around the stuff he couldn’t do. And the music itself made up for any flaws. Don’t get me wrong the vocals were good, just not quit what the use to be.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 10:32 amI've never been a huge concert guy. My first was Boston back probably in '78ish in Fayetteville. That probably remains as the best one I saw. Caught Genesis at the Dean Dome and the Cars in Greensboro.
I still remember reading an article in Rolling Stone back in high school- maybe 45 years ago or so that talked about The Rolling Stones and the writer said that a fan should go see them before they got old and silly. I never really made an effort to catch them but kind of wish I had. I'm a classic rock guy and it's brutal seeing guys drop off.

Re: David Crosby
It's not everyone's cup of tea but there are some quality metal bands coming through NC this year, papa roach, mushroom head, mastodon, to name a few. At some point I've got to see Rammstein.

Ha it's all good. It's not everyone's preference or music. Mushroomhead started in 93, Rammstein in 94, and papa roach in 93. They are coming up on 30 years in the business.
