We also forget Peyton's sexual harassment of a trainer at UT and having Daddy & the University pay her off to go away. At least Cam got kicked out of college. Peyton got crowned as King of UT.

Could he have handled it better? Sure.
Could he have handled it worse? Absolutely.
I don't think anyone can imagine how much work and sacrifice it would take to get to the Super Bowl. Think about how bad the team was Cam's first few years in the league. He lost a lot. Now think about how lucky they were to get to where they were this year. If I'm Cam, the thought of being able to achieve this again has to seem daunting at best. It is really hard to keep a super bowl caliber team together, and I'm sure there will be some free agency losses to this team. Forgive me if I don't feel like getting grilled on why I'm upset after a loss like that.

By the way, it's about more than just football.

But Peyton singing about chicken parm makes him so much better I guess.

All I can say is that certainly wasn't the case Sunday night. He showed up the dance king drastically. Peyton was the humble man of the hour.

And this is the same board which said one of the Sun Belt coaches should have been reprimanded and/or fined for refusing to talk to the press immediately after losing a game.

Peyton was humble because he knew the guy on the bench could have won the game as easily as he did.

I love all the deflecting on here. Really what says it all was something posted a week or so ago and this explains how a man who names his child Chosen is created. " I don't care what he does as long as we win" Please God don't ever let this attitude infect something that I actually do care about - Appalachian State University.

Wow.....I'm actually surprised at these posts defending this guy. Ladies and Gentle the NFL is an entertainment industry. These players get paid millions of dollars to be our entertainment. We are well within our rights to criticize as well defend them as we please. For the record I don't like Peyton either for all the things you guys have mention above but when I posted my comment we weren't talking about him we were talking about Cam. T-Dog its a figure of speech get over yourself. You can roll your eyes back to some of the critical articles you have written that have been discussed on here before. He does have an obligation to face the media because he is an entertainer. If he doesn't want to be treated this way then go get a normal 9-5 job where you are not an entertainer and your job is not to be in the spotlight. I agree with the criticism on here that the defending of this stuff is exactly how we ended up with this spoiled generation of entertainers.

I guess it just is what it is at this point. Trophies for everyone. I think I'll thank everyone in this thread while I'm at it because we all deserve a sticker and a pat on the back.

But he didn't. That's what matters. The glory hog, Cam, got cut down to size.

Maybe he's changed. Cam is not likely to. Hell, he won't even marry his baby's mother. Lowest of the low.

I was talking about the guy on Denver's bench behind Peyton. Peyton took zero chances. Hell they didn't even look like they were trying to score on offense except when they were given a short field. Manning was a figure head in that game, the queen so to speak.

I don't see how you figure that. He played a solid steady, relatively mistake free game and he won.
