George Soros will foot the bill as he usually does. Its gonna be a long, hot summer. Chaos lives!
These kids will be 30 one day with kids and will no longer be Bernie type supporters.

I've always been interested in when the pendulum will swing back. Seems it's been trending toward soft parenting recently.

Are these not the same idiots that graded on a curve in the 70s due to the time they spent protesting the Vietnam war? I am pretty sure it is.

I think this was Churchill:

"If you're young and not liberal, you don't have a heart. If you're old and not conservative, you don't have a brain."

It was Churchill but if he were around to see Trump's campaign, he may have changed his mind.
Providing a different point of view, it was another Englishman, John Stuart Mill, who once said:
"Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid people, it is true that most stupid people are conservative" ;)

We can thank higher ed for perpetuating that myth.

FWIW, the average American Republican in 2016 isn't very Conservative.

Well, they have managed to elect the most conservative collection of members of congress. The two parties are as ideologically polarized as ever. The GOP has become more conservative and the Dems more liberal. One reason support for either is less than in the past.

I don't know if they've become more conservative/liberal or just less willing to compromise.

There was a time when there were Republicans who were more liberal than some Democrats in the U.S. Senate. That is no longer the case. The moderates are basically gone.

There were also Democrats that were fairly conservative. Things worked. We used to have different ideas but now we just hate each other. Today there are only those who are against the other side no matter if it is a good idea or not. If one side is for it the other is just automatically against it. I am ashamed of our leaders on both sides of the isle and in the administration. We are in a low point in our existence. I will now bow out of the political discussion.

So many kids grow up without a father in the home. It's hard to have good parenting with only a single mother raising the kids. The prisons are full of men who had no father figure in the home. Our society substitutes professional athletes and entertainers for male role models.

Mark it down, I agree with cline. The number one problem today is the lack of values taught in the home.

I saw a comment from a jcline in the wall street journal opinion section two weeks ago, not sure if it was you, but I did a double take.
