So what is the construction in the median of 421 just easy of Boone all about? I thought I saw a sign about "Raw Water Project" but I was driving and was focused on the cars around me and the narrow lanes from the traffic barriers.
Is it just me or did the bridge over 421 at Deep Gap go up very quick? It seems it went from breaking ground to having the bridge up and across 421 in no time flat compared to the dragging on of some road construction in Greensboro with bridges over roads. (I am thinking of you Urban Loop.)

I drive 221 to get to my house in Todd so my theory about the bridge is that DOT is reworking that intersection with 221. I believe they are making 221 a 4 lane road to Jefferson and because of that I think they are taking out the lights at that intersection.
