Why would you want to play a sh*tty P5 team? There is nothin to gain. Win and congratulations, you beat a 1-5 P5. Lose and, "look, you can't even beat a crappy 1-5 P5.
I understand your point, but top 10 is a stretch for those two.
USF has beaten 2-4 Illinois and a bunch of awful G5s. They're currently ranked #16 in the nation.
USF started the year in the top 25 so that victory didn't catapult them up the charts. They have been the G5 favorite all year based off of their offense and their QB. I beleive that they have scored 28 or more in almost 30 straight games.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2017 9:33 pmUSF has beaten 2-4 Illinois and a bunch of awful G5s. Western Michigan last year beat 6-6 Northwestern (by 1 point) and 3-9 Illinois. They went to the Cotton Bowl.
Not to mention the impact of beating ANY in-state P5, no matter how bad they are in a given year, in terms of growing our program's profile.
Two Navy wins, neither of which happened.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 9:48 amUSF started the year in the top 25 so that victory didn't catapult them up the charts. True Western Michigan beat beat two BIGs last year, but if you remember, the committee was one Navy win away from replacing WMU with them.
