2.11 in Hickory and Granite Falls in places.

They recently raised the fuel tax but it is probably still lower than NC. The tax is set to go up a little every year over the next few years.

I'll end up doing damage to my car having to drive on the terrible roads in South Carolina and spend even more in the long run.

I've seen that documentary, Portlandia. Seems like a wonderful town.

Portlandia may be more accurate than we want to admit.

Interestingly, there is a road here called Boone's Ferry. One of Daniel Boone's grandchildren established a ferry over the Willamette River in the 1840's
