For anyone in the area, the Shell station on Branchview has 87 octane gas for $2.16 this afternoon.

They recently raised the fuel tax but it is probably still lower than NC. The tax is set to go up a little every year over the next few years.

Portlandia may be more accurate than we want to admit.

Interestingly, there is a road here called Boone's Ferry. One of Daniel Boone's grandchildren established a ferry over the Willamette River in the 1840's
