Sounds like a good spot to stay for a game/get a drink afterwards (rooftop bar).

Awesome idea. I think this will be incredibly successful. I assume the bar will be open to the public which should be very cool.

Might go there for a drink, but the price to stay there will probably be higher than giraffe balls.

Thank you to the people making this happen!! The Horton and the Appalachian Theatre projects are encouraging signs for downtown Boone. There is so much untapped potential downtown. It has a great college vib and it should alway be that way, but Boone needs a few more high end attractions like this. Looking forward to seeing the final product!

611 was where my first apartment was. They were called Barnett's Apartments and he owned the laundry mat also.

A little birdy says there's another article out today that'll be great news for those who drive up U.S. 321 to Boone.

And coming in 2019, horrific traffic on 105. https://www.ncdot.gov/projects/nc105widening/

I'm not sure all this is necessary. It seems the problem could be solved with a new bridge over the Watauga at the Ham Shop with turn lanes. That is what seems to cause the congestion.

That, and people who drive 10 under in the mountains.

I've been commuting from Boone to LA since 2013 and always joked that I'd quit the day after they finally clear up 321. Guess I'd better start looking for a new job.
