I don't get the gloating. A black eye for other schools in our state/system does not make ASU look better. They could probably get dirt on any school in the ACC, and if we were in the ACC they would get us too.

It's Western's turn to be punished for the sins of Tobacco Road. We had Jason Capel attempt to coach basketball for 4 years already, so we've suffered enough.

I don't see anyone gloating, but why should NC State receive a hall pass for cheating, when their supporters so mercilessly pursued the UNC scandal? I couldn't care less about NC State. They are irrelevant to me. When the Tarholes win a basketball championship, does it make App State look good? Of course not. So why should any in-state school, regardless of size or conference affiliation, caught cheating negatively reflect on us in any way? It doesn't. And...I don't buy the assumption that if we were in the ACC, we would cheat too.

Maybe they can actually pursue NC State's illegal tampering re: Devante Graham while they're at it.

This “scandal” is just meh at this point. If you didn’t know this was going on in major college basketball (and football) well I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn up for sale if anyone’s interested.
Let the ones who are good enough to go to the NBA out of HS go. And those that choose to go to college, let them earn what the market dictates through endorsements and sponsorships - just like every single other industry. The Olympic model pretty much eliminates all this hand wringing and pearl clutching.
