Perhaps you should watch it a few times. You might learn something about law enforcement other than what is seen on CNN and MSNBC. It's not completely realistic, but it is closer to what cops go through than what most of the media portrays.
I have. I am not a fan of reality TV shows. I watch TV to escape from reality. I like my Tv to be scripted and acted or a good documentary.
Good point, McL. I get those preferences sometimes also. Most documentaries nowadays are so embellished that I seldom watch them anymore.

Most PBS is still good documentary. CableTV not so much though HBO has a good thing going with a series asked documentary on Elvis I watched part of today.

And I don’t find reality tv entertaining. A well written comedy like Arrested Development is worth the expense of paying for union writers and union actors and I’m happy to tune in to the show, and laugh my ass off while doing so.
