My HOA is A-OK. I can't have chickens or animal sacrifices outside, but I found a cool way to keep them inside while allowing them to travel like hamsters through a series of tubes. I think the main purpose of my HOA and the 11 homeowners paying into it is to have the roads paved/scraped/maintained. They (Maple Ridge) also mow around our ponds and common areas and suck up any leaves we blow out to the curb in November. Sometimes HOAs are OK. I can piss off my porches year-round without disturbing anyone thanks to some of the rules.
