Interesting. It says that Beth is with him. It doesn’t mention the other kids.

I can’t blame the kid, I’d want to finish my senior year with the guys I’ve battled with for years. Plus another year in God’s country is always nice. Working towards that goal myself each day.

Nice to see. I remember his face in the photos of them leaving. Glad he gets to finish.

So we take Lamb's son for App and App's coach's son go to Lamb for college. Fascinating.
I wish him well.
With Satt's money I assume there was no need to sell the house in Boone.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Taylor played for Scott and Bryce plays for Bobby? That would almost be ironic or something.

Re: Satterfields coming back...Bryce that is
None of them were happy. Serious question on Bryce. I know a lot of people buzzed at how dominate he was and speculated that maybe dad would bring him to App before he left. My question is are there any FBS caliber players in their league or on the team? I remember it is to be labeled as a league with a bunch of slow, undersized players but I have not seen or tracked HS ball in Boone in a few years. Is he playing against any legit D1 guys or mostly dominating D2 or or a bunch of guys who won't play past high school?GregPercussion wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 8:11 pmNice to see. I do believe we took a PWO this year from Watauga.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 7:59 amNone of them were happy. Serious question on Bryce. Re: Satterfields coming back...Bryce that is
Speaking for HS ball in Boone, it has been very good over the past few seasons. Last season Watauga won their Conference (Northwestern 4A/3A) and two playoff games (lost to eventual State Champ in third round). They ended the season with a 13-1 record. This season is predicted to be much like the past few. Therefore, slow and undersized is no longer the norm.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 7:59 amNone of them were happy. The conference is comparatively weak statewide , even more so when compared with urban centered leagues.

Last game I attended was year before last against Asheville (playoff game), and they (Watauga) won fairly easily. This season they have dropped both Avery and West Caldwell (WC is leaving the Conference) and picked up some tougher competition.

Re: Satterfields coming back...Bryce that is
That's usually the case in 3A/4A. Rural schools are more dominate in 1A/2A since there's less urban schools in those classifications, although the charter schools are growing in power, especially in 1A. Watauga did make the 4A state semis twice in a row when Brietenstein (sp?) was their guy.
Still, going 11-0 in the regular season is nothing to sniff at and Bryce was a large part in that happening.
