I know --- Liberty has been a highly discussed topic for years and these articles point to many of the problems many fans have with Liberty - Not sure what the problem was with the other???

The last several posts in that thread took a decidedly political turn.

Why couldn’t this have been added to the other thread?

It would be nice if something were to actually change, but I doubt it.

The NCAA should kick Liberty out, but they would lawyer up and say that Falwell Jr would use derogatory terms against all students, no matter if they were an athlete or not, and thus the NCAA could not punish them.

I would have liked to have read them even if you were going to stop allowing posts in the thread.

Is it possible to lock it and not make it public but still make it available for those that want to read what would otherwise be deleted threads?

I lost interest in that thread, so I don’t know what people said. The thing is, though... Falwell is an overtly political figure. Unless you’re strictly keeping your discussion to on-the-field stuff, it’s really tough to talk about Liberty without talking Falwell, and it’s tough to talk Falwell without getting into his political activism.
