Nido's at it again...signed a new 10-year contract through 2029 and unfolded a $1 Billion plan that would fund...
* $700 Mil in scholarships for first generation students, diversity and academic excellence with seven new
schools/programs under development
* $300 Mil in new construction for a new library, a new classroom building, an admissions center and a D-I Ice
Hockey Arena
* Formation of a Town and Gown Think Tank
(Plans for the long-awaited, much anticipated, nine clay-court and garden Bocce facility w/indoor-outdoor wine and cheese patio has been forwarded to the 2030-40 campus construction grid. University enthusiasts are said to be "crushed" by the decision.)

Yes it is. I work in and around High Point U. The construction on campus is never ending. The new basketball arena will be nothing short of amazing. Plus there’s a conference center and hotel being built along with the arena.

It's a stunningly beautiful campus and they take a different approach on preparing their students for the world. My son's a high school junior and HPU is actually his fallback school. He's impressed that Steve Wozniak is involved with the school and he'll be a computer science major. They also invest heavily in all the latest up-to-date tech stuff which he likes.
It's amazing what Qubein has done since 2005.

Yeah, sad to pretty much read between the lines of that old case and realize some palms are being greased. Obviously no one wanted someone to die, but the fact that that University has gone out of the way to protect that fraternity and Mike Q is kind of disgusting.
