He may land somewhere and have a couple more productive seasons, but I agree it was time. For all his successes I never saw him the same after he didn't dive on the ball. He's been a lame duck QB since that moment.

As a Falcons fan, I was hoping y’all would keep him around for a little while longer. His best days have definitely passed.

Panthers screwed this up when they signed Teddy before dealing Cam and ruining any leverage they could have gotten in a trade. It's crazy that Kyle Allen was traded for a 5th while Cam got nothing.

No one wanted a 31 year old QB thats taken the hits he has thats going to cost them 19 mil. Hes just had too many injuries for the teams to take a big chance on him. Someone will pick him up for a 2 year prove yourself contract.

Unfortunately, Cam's price tag was a major hurdle for any trade deals the Panthers might have gotten. Someone will pick him up but he isn't likely to get the kind of contract he is used to. He will either get a very short contract to plug a gap or a lower amount as a backup for an aging QB. That's my guess anyway.

I like Cam. He's an odd one but he took a lot of criticism that he didn't deserve. Unfortunately I agree that it was time.

There is no telling what a year off could've done for him. I'd rather pay a healthy Cam $20 million than pay Teddy Bridgewater $20 million.

That's just me though.

Cam at $20 mil/yr is a bargin regardless of health. Look at the contracts of Wentz,Goff, Jimmy G and none of them have done the things Cam has done and 2 of the 3 have had severe injuries recently. I am an unabashed Cam supporter and have been since that magical season at Auburn. He has been fantastic for the Carolinas both on and off the field. At the end of the day though I don't want Cam taking snaps behind this Panthers OLine anymore. Cam is honestly better off career wise leaving and finding a situation where he can get some protection. I just really wish the organization handled this better, it's never easy to move on from a franchise cornerstone but lying about it for months really leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the fans. Just my 2 cents.
FREQS AND GEEKS!
