David seems to be going full David Letterman with that beard. Another option is he is trying out for a live action remake of the Rankin-Bass Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.

Either way it was nice to hear all three voices together.

I just closed my eyes and listened for 15 minutes. Brought back some great memories of drives down the mountain after another Mountaineer win. Just like yesterday.

Man, I'm only a minute or two in. I didn't think it possible for DJ to be any cooler. Yet here we are

That was the exact image I was going to post and then got distracted around the house. Thanks for doing this for me.

DJ, Randy, and Juice! The current crew does a great job but these voices.......the moment you heard DJ on the radio you knew exactly who you were listening to. Just like when you'd listen to Jack Buck or Mel Allen; instantaneous recognition.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

You are so right - we couldn't wait to get back to the car and listen as we headed down the mountain - No offense to anyone, but they were the best football booth combo I can remember, and believe me, I have listened to many, many, many years of football on the radio. David was the perfect play by play guy - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, made you see what was happening even if you were only listening AND not a homer apologist/excuse maker... and Steve just had that superior knowledge of what was happening in the Xs and Os and in overall strategy without running on endlessly about who had lunch with, etc. - I said this numerous times back in the day - even if I attended the game in person I would later listen to the entire replay of the game so "Steve could tell me what I just saw". You younger guys will be able to create a similar feeling for the current and future staffs, but for myself and my wife not being physically able to make the round-trip in one day anymore we cherish the GREAT MEMORIES of those days!!! :D

Oh man, this brings back memories. DJ is, was, and always will be the best to ever do it. Hearing him, Brownie, Randy immediately takes you back. I agree, we couldn’t wait to get back to the car to hear the postgame wrap-up.

GO APPS!!

You’re welcome.

The only thing this broadcast was missing was, “and a pleasant good evening from...”.

Weeks three and four. I’ve wasted away some of the morning catching up.
