For those of us App/Hurricanes fans, the sweep was on tonight!

The Rangers go home and possibly lose one of the best goalies they've ever had after this year.

Would love to see the Canes run continue because last season was a lot of fun...until we ran into the Bruins, that is.

It's been a fun start to the week. Nice to have sports back. Glad for the sweep, mildly sad that they won't play again for an entire week.

Hopefully the can fight off boredom in the bubble and everyone stays healthy.

The Canes have the "look" of a champion right now. All the tools are there. AND Dougie Hamilton will be fresh when he returns. Aho's goal was simply sick last night... Completely undressed NYR defenseman. Brind A'mour's move to shake up lines provided instant dividends. Let's not forget the phenomenal job in net Reimer did. Another positive note for the future... 2 guys playing prominent roles (Necas, Geekie) were in Charlotte last year when they won AHL championship.

Me too! I'm afraid John, most likely, is done forever with Canes as he is #2 NBC/NBC Sports announcer behind Doc Emmerick... I expect Doc is close to retiring. Either way, John will likely stay national.

Me too! I'm afraid John, most likely, is done forever with Canes as he is #2 NBC/NBC Sports announcer behind Doc Emmerick... I expect Doc is close to retiring. Either way, John will likely stay national.

Unfortunately you are correct. Not sure what his next move will be, but he's moving on despite his wishes to stay in Carolina.

I do think Maniscalco has done a good job so far. Wouldn't mind him getting the permanent gig, and I'm sure many around the team would love to see it.

Probably not to the experts but to me he is - just not a big fan of Doc - he just always seemed to give a little more positive emphasis to whom ever the Canes were playing - that goes back some years -

What do you guys think about playing just 3 games and then having a week off? - I just don't know where they are in their overall preparedness so this might be good --- I just remember last year when they came back to beat the Capitals and roared thru the Islanders, they were playing really great and then had that week off - never got it back ---

The goal be Ago was a thing of beauty. Equally as impressive was fighting through the defenseman to get to the puck and setup the goal. He was giving up a lot of size in that matchup.

Boston, who had the best record in hockey before Covid, is no longer in the running for the top spot in the East after their loss to the bolts last night. Looking like it could be Boston or Washington (again) in the next round. I still have nightmares from last year with Boston and I don’t know if my heart can take another series with Washington. But boy if we got Boston and got our revenge, that would be BIG
