Will be interesting to see how this effects the early signing period and early enrollment.

Sure will! This is the sort of thing that causes young college coaches to have gray hair in their late 20s.

I would guess multi sport kids are just going to have to pick basketall only or do a combo of fall and spring because of all that overlap. This could be a problem for girls basektball with that overlap with volleyball. I know sports already overlap some but because these seasons are so short, missing a couple games could be the difference in a season. The practice times are going to be insane as well when 2 vasrity 2 jv 1 varsity and 1 jv volleyball team are all trying to use the same gym. What a mess.

I call games for NCHSAA. I've got news for them. They think they are seeing a decline in officials in sports, wait until all these sports start going at once. Not to mention the fact that some (specifically older) officials won't come back at all with the threat of this virus.

I can see many committed Seniors graduating after first semester, skipping the winter season, and enrolling in college spring semester.

I am interested to see how many in my area (Gaston, Mecklenburg) will go private school or South Carolina where they are playing.

Already seeing kids talking about leaving/graduating early from Huss, KM, Shelby, and maybe a sprinkling of others. I doubt any of the D1 commits play in the high school season.

Looking forward to seeing some Watauga football in snow drifts butt hole deep to Wilt Chamberlain with a wind chill 10 below zero.

I can't believe that any kid who signs in December (to any level of college football) will be allowed to play a full high school football season in the spring. Nothing but a potential for severe injury.

Well it will give some others a chance to shine maybe and their parents and families can still but tickets to bring in money to support other sports.

Not sure much will change. Guys who graduate in December and planned on enrolling early will and guys who planned on finishing the whole year will play. Players who enroll in December don't skip fall football so I don't know why those who graduate in June would skip Feb to April football

Maybe not, but there is 9 months normally between seasons versus 5 for the spring players, not to mention December guys get to participate in spring practice. I guess time will tell.

I can see colleges asking a committed senior to not play spring ball. They have been pulling them from N.C. East-West game for a long time.

I have not heard anything about Shrine game this year.

Really??? Maybe I should have inserted the word sarcasm at the end of my post. On another note, some friends and I went camping on Tater Hill once in 10 below zero weather, had a lot of antifreeze though. And, a big bonfire. Stayed up all night of course.

So I am a high schooler that’s plays on the border. So I’ll play in SC in the fall and transfer over and play again in N.C. in the spring.
