Thrilled that one of my former students, the former Jennifer Freshley has a son who recently graduated from Liberty (Falwell University). He is an African American who is now playing in the NBA...don't know which team but his last name is Homesly or Homesley.

Not sure why him being African American matters enough to be highlighted and you could have just google searched but as we have learned over the years that isn't a skill you have mastered yet.

I hope the best for the kid but its just a 10 exhibit contract so its more like a paid tryout.

1. I didn’t have time to Google and don’t use it. It sux and is full of ads.
2. I use Yahoo search anyway
3. I don’t follow the NBA.
4. The info came in an email and Facebook post from Jenny herself.
5. African-American was bolded because there has been so much rhetoric on here about how badly blacks are treated at Liberty
6. Merry Christmas, daze

Technically, all Americans are African Americans...that’s if you believe in Science and evolution. Most religious origins put first man in the Fertile Crescent which is on Asia, so if you don’t believe in evolution, we are all Asian Americans.

It’s important to say black PEOPLE. Just calling people “blacks” is dehumanizing. Just like if you called most of the posters on this website “whites.” It’s important to remember we are all people first.

Just trying to help out! I teach in rural Georgia, so I see this a lot. It's something I was guilty of before as well. Like I said, I'd prefer to be called a white person, not a white, so I extend the courtesy to others.
