Re: Glen Frey
The show was somewhat disappointing, but still had good information on Frey's illness. I did not know previously that Frey's son performed with the remaining Eagle members in concert after Frey's death.

Re: Glen Frey
His name is Deacon and he still perforns with him them to this day. Saw the Eagles 3 years ago with Deacon. If you close your eyes it almost sound identical to Glen. Gave me chill bumps as it was kinda spooky. Had ticket to see them last year here in Denver than COVID cancelled that but the rescheduled here for this fall.
Appalachian State, Better than your school since 1899!!!!

Re: Glen Frey
Good to hear. I saw them three times and also saw Don Henley while they were broken up as well as saw Joe Walsh in concert after a Kansas City baseball game. I listen to the Eagles on Youtube while I walk in the gym most mornings. Never get tired of them.ASUPATCH wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 3:09 pmHis name is Deacon and he still perforns with him them to this day. Saw the Eagles 3 years ago with Deacon. Re: Glen Frey
Don Felder's biography "Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles" is a great read and an even better listen on Audible. Some of it is fairly controversial, but much of what he says about Frey and Henley being both pathologically greedy and uber-control freaks has been corroborated by other sources.
Frankly, the Eagles were a great band before Felder. He took them in a different direction, prolonged their careers and made them legendary.
On another note, the Eagles are special to me. Some of the first music I can remember hearing as a little kid was from "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" as we rolled in Mom's '73 Datsun B210 with the 8-Track. And I listened to them all through high school and college. Despite their dysfunction and murderous inclinations towards one another, I still love their music.
