One of the few artists based in Nashville whose music I purchased. As much folk as country and she did some good work with The Chieftains some years ago.

I first heard of her when the dorms had a college TV channel in the late 1980s and one show had a country music show that was more Americana/folk/progressive country and she was in rotation enough with a current album at the time that I heard a few of her songs then and became a fan.
RIP Nanci Griffith

She and John Prine are surely entertaining the angels.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.
