4 February 1977-Fleetwood Mac Rumours
Fleetwood Mac's Rumours released 45 years ago today.
One of the best albums ever. Tusk may be the best album ever. Still Rumours is VERY good.

Agree on both accounts. Might add “Boston” and “Recollection” and “The Best of Foreigner” in there. Maybe Tejas.

Bought my copy of Rumours from School Kids Records on King Street. I'm thinking the owners name was Jeannie or something similar.

I wasn't a ZZ Top fan but loved Boston and Foreigner. Saw both in concert in Greensboro in the early 80s. That Foreigner/Kansas concert made the AP wire because some idiot set off a teargas canister inside the coliseum toward the end of the show. There was complete hysteria as people struggled to breathe and get out of the building. I felt lucky to make it out alive.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 6:54 pmAgree on both accounts. Re: 4 February 1977-Fleetwood Mac Rumours
Oddly I am not a fan of other 70s music, and the Eagle ought to be my thing with a similar style.
I am a bit young for it for one as I am really a child of the 80s so I like the post-punk, new wave stuff more. And that explains my love for Tusk. A perfect mix of FM, and such with the edge of the late 1970 music that could be found at CBGBs. Though I do sing along to Abba and often find myself really enjoying 70s music that is not FM, but I do not buy it. I REALLY like the Pink Floyd laser shows I work at the Gboro Sci Center.

I was taken aback when I first saw this post as I played the album out of the blue for the first time in years , and years , seemingly for no particular reason , Friday.

Boston’s Third Stage Tour is still my favorite show of all time.

Pearl Jam--Ten
Steely Dan--Babylon Sisters
Whiskeytown--Strangers Almanac
Elton John--Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (some of its darn near hypnotic)
Nas--Ilmatic
Meshuggah--Nothing
Beck--Odelay
Madvillian--Madvilliany
Black Sabbath--Master of Reality
Its hard for me to sit through a whole album these days, but these are some that I can just hit play.

A great concert! I have always loved Boston’s music. Also like The Eagles, Genesis, Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, and others of that era.

For fun go on YouTube and listen to the song Holiday Road by Lindsay Buckingham.
Where have you heard it?

I am one. Rumours was the best album Buckingham Nicks did as members of Fleetweed Mac. I realize things have changed, but in the 1970s they had not yet.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 7:53 pmHow many of you that are Fans of Fleetwood Mac enjoy the Buckingham Nicks album they did before they joined Fleetwood Mac?

Re: 4 February 1977-Fleetwood Mac Rumours
Buckingham Nicks may be the best album that never really sold well. They were big in Alabama and in particular around Birmingham. Lucky for us they shared some studio staff with those that worked with Mick Fleetwood.CVAPP wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 8:36 pmI am one.
