Next Saturday, 18 May 2013 at Northeast (Guilford) Park the Greensboro Astronomy Club, Eastern Guilford High School, and the NE Park staff will be hosting an Astronomy evening.

I might be doing a live spot on WFMY as early as 5 am and as late as the sun comes up or I need to get to work. This is planned for Tuesday morning. There is a very good chance I will have an Block "A" on one of the scopes on the Tuesday spot. At 5 am I am not going to fumble around setting up a telescope, and I have a scope on loan from ASU Physics and Astronomy that takes only a few minutes to set up. I certainly advertise the ASU connection with a few stickers.

The Tuesday morning live spot is to advertise the morning events at the park the same day (18 May) from 9-12 in the morning. The park ranger invited me out to help get the word out about the Astronomy later on Saturday.

If you have younger kids the morning activities are free and geared for ages 7-17 with an adult present.

In case non one had time to look up, there are a few clouds in the sky and this event is being cancelled.
